Actor Jude Law has announced he is expecting his fifth child, this time with former girlfriend Catherine Harding.
The 41-year-old said in a statement that he and Harding, 23, a singer-songwriter also known as Cat Cavelli, are no longer in a relationship but are both "whole heartedly committed to raising the child".
The pair were spotted together earlier this year while Law was filming in the Czech Republic.
Law has three children - Rafferty, 18, Iris, 13 and Rudy, 12 - from his marriage to Sadie Frost.
He also has a five-year-old daughter, Sophia, from a brief fling with model Samantha Burke.
A statement released on behalf of Law by his publicist read: "I can confirm that Jude Law and Catherine Harding are expecting a child together in the spring.
"Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both whole heartedly committed to raising their child.
"They consider this a private matter and other than this confirmation no statements will be made.
"I ask that you respect the privacy of all parties involved and their families."
Cavelli, a Londoner, is an aspiring star who has been championed by the US celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Summing up her music, Hilton wrote: "Take Demi Lovato, add some British coolness, some Madonna Frozen, some Laura Mvula and a whole lot of drum n bass awesomeness
The statement is remarkably similar to the one issued in 2009, when news of 24-year-old Burke's pregnancy was made public.
At that time, he said: "Following a relationship last year, Jude Law has been advised by the birth mother that he is to be the father of a child due in the autumn of this year.
"He is no longer in a relationship with her but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life."
