Dallas English, a 29-year-old Air Force staff sergeant, found the above left photo of him and his dad, who'd also served in the Air Force, a few years back. Seeing an opportunity to create a tradition, he decided to reenact the photo with his 10-month-old son and post it to Reddit, he told  ABC News.

When English's father saw the photo with his son and his grandson, he was speechless. "He's not a man of many words, but he did really like the picture," English said. More than 2 million people have seen the picture since English posted it on July 15.

English hopes his son will one day take the same picture with his future grandson: "It'd be really awesome if he could do the same photo too in like 25 or 30 years. Remind me! July 15th, 2040. Make him take this pic with your grandson!"
