Is Your Family Brave Enough For Fright Fest At Six Flags?
The Perfect Event for Thrill Seekers
Fall is approaching and it's a time to get into the spooky spirit. For those who seek thrills and chills, there's a can’t-miss event that takes place every year starting in September. It’s worth planning a trip to Valencia, CA just for Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
It's fun for the whole family, as long as they’re the right age and fearless enough for frightening roller coasters. The turns, swoops, and speeds of a rollercoaster are sure to get your blood pumping and your heart racing in a good way. And that’s before you factor in all the Halloween festivities.
Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS
Fright Fest is an event that combines everything you love about the rollercoasters of Six Flags and Halloween into one unforgettable event. Characters will roam the grounds trying to spook you and get you into the spirit. Clowns, monsters, and zombies take over the park throughout September and October, serving up scares as you wait in the lines for the roller coasters. You'll never know when the lights will go off on a ride, leaving you completely in the dark. There are also haunted mazes and spooky shows. If you're traveling with children during the daytime hours, there are events for them like a trick or treat trail and Halloween crafts.
For those who are up for it, the amusement park offers a 30-hour coffin challenge. Open to brave souls 18 and over, you’re challenged to stay in a dark coffin alone, with no connection to the outside world — except for some Fright Fest freaks lurking about. If you can lie completely flat and still from 3 PM September 13 to 9 PM September 14, then you could win $666, a 2020 Gold Season Pass, and an Express Haunted Maze Pass.
What to Know Before You Ride
The real scares start at 7 PM, across a schedule of 23 nights in September, October, and November. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth for Fright Fest. If you're traveling with a younger crowd, you need to make sure that they fit the 42" minimum, which is required for many attractions. On top of the spooky attractions, there are thrill rides, family rides, and water rides. If you're hungry, there are several restaurant options available at the park itself. When you're ready to go, you can hit up the souvenir shop for a token to show that you made it through the horrors and haunts.
