Here’s us Mckenzie boys at large playing football in the park! We were all inspired by my beloved @spursofficial ⚽ ⚽ ⚽ What a performance in The Champions League against @mancity !!! I’ve been a supporter for 55 years and I have never been more proud (or nervous) #COYS – thanks for the inspiration, boys ! I told my eldest that sport is such a leveler and a life lesson, that effort, grit, determination, dignity, and teamwork when under pressure will always prevail and make you a winner…as in life 👍🏽 👍🏽 👍🏽

I just broke off from writing my course all day, aching fingers, thumbs and all, and writers block. I was getting pretty frustrated and my 14-year-old asked me what was wrong. I told him, and asked home what I should do. He suggested that break off from the routine and go to the kitchen and we should eat coffee and cake. “Just have some fun” he said! My immediate reaction was “I haven’t got time!”. But then I thought “well I’ve been writing about mindfulness all day, and here I am, stuck in my own thoughts, getting mad at myself” During all the writing and my course design, I’ve really missed having my usual family time. Mindfulness is a basic human ability to be fully present and aware of where we are, what we’re doing, and not to be overwhelmed by all we have to contend with. Being there for others is a reflex, and be present or go home I say! So I just instantly switched off my work brain - having fun is second nature to me! I just did it, went to the kitchen, had a laugh or fifty with the family, and we ate too much! Did I enjoy it…heck yeah!!! I went back to work, my heart full of joy…and did more in an hour tha I had all day Part of my course is all about preserving your mindfulness when you are in pursuit of goals.. Yes, goals 🚀…easy to aim for, difficult to achieve. But know that …if anyone can overcome adversity...you can …if anyone can climb over hurdles…you can …if anyone can keep going when the going gets tough…you can …if a door gets shut in your face, kick it open! 🚪 Being self-reliant is a great thing! But most often, the most difficult thing is to ask for help when you just need it We can all have each other’s backs if you want support. I’ll help you if I can, don’t be shy to ask me 💝 Who wants to build a world-wide 🌐 loving and caring family with me? We can all win and meet our goals while having fun…especially if we share coffee and cake 🍰 🍰 ☕ ☕
