Best Flagship Phones Of 2019

We may be in 2020, but many of us wish we were back in 2019, a time before, well, coronavirus hit, and we all had to completely change how we live. There was so much to love about 2019! And that’s including phones. There were some truly sensational smartphones released throughout the year. Indeed, all the big smartphone players came out with at least one big-hitter that helped to push the game forward. In this blog, we’re going to take a look at some of the best releases. Even though they came out last year, they still make an excellent purchasing option.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro

Is there any year when Apple doesn’t have at least one offering on a list of best smartphones of the year? Not that we can remember, and it doesn’t look like it’ll happen anytime in the future either. 2019 was a stellar year for the world’s biggest smartphone company, who released a string of top-class smartphones. But perhaps the very best of the lot was the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. Though there were Apple releases that were both more expensive and came with more features, it’s this one that stood out from the crowd. It comes with immense power and a battery life that can compete with the best of them (this was something that caused complaints about older iPhones). The screen, too, is top-quality, and manages to strike a fine balance between being “too big” and “too small.” Without a doubt, worth the investment, if you can afford it.

OnePlus 7T Pro

If you’re going to take on Apple and win, then you better be good. And so the OnePlus 7T Pro is. Not for nothing does this phone find itself at the top of many “best smartphones of the year” lists. It contains many features that smartphone users love, including a top of the line camera, fast processors, fast fingerprint scanner, and much more. Yet despite having so many awesome features, this phone is surprisingly fantastic when it comes to battery life --you can get around 30 hours between charges. From zero battery, you can hit 70% charge in just over thirty minutes. The only downside (for some) is that it’s pretty large, but that’s in line with most smartphones these days anyway. It even comes with a dual sim, which is especially handy in an age when so many of us have work and personal numbers.

Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung has long won plenty of plaudits for the quality of their smartphones. Indeed, any phone that wins such loyal support of the customers must be getting something right! The Samsung Galaxy S10 was the best phone that Samsung released last year, for a number of reasons. First, there’s no avoiding the fact that this is the most appealing, size-wise. It gets the balance between “large screen” and “snug enough to fit in your pocket” just right. Indeed, the screen is one of the most impressive things about: if you’re looking to watch videos with a stunning picture, then this is the one you should be looking at. The only minor complaint is that the battery isn’t as good as it is with other devices, but it’s far from bad. All in all, this phone might just be the best phone of the year.

Google Pixel 4

Google is getting better and better at this smartphone business, to the point where they managed to release one of the best phones of the year. The Google Pixel 4 had a lot going for it. As you might expect from Google, there were plenty of cool features built into the phone. It does more or less everything that you’d want a modern smartphone to do, however, so what makes it stand out? There are two things: the design, and the camera. There aren’t too many smartphones that’ll allow you to take such spectacular photos of the night sky.

Sony Xperia 5

Though less flash than other offerings, the Sony Xperia 5 is a fantastic smartphone, with a high-quality finish and pleasant touches throughout. It’s probably the best option for people who are looking for substance over style, or a phone for business purposes.

Conclusion

This is far from an exhaustive list; there were some great phones that we had to miss out, for instance. But we don’t think there were many releases that performed better than the ones we’ve outlined above. Indeed, the six phones we’ve mentioned above will be hard to beat in any year, including 2020.
