I have been an avid watch enthusiast for as long as I can remember. My great uncle was a seaman, and as a very young boy I loved going through his collection of time pieces, sand-dials and clocks that he had accumulated over 50 years of seafaring from all over the world. I have collected watches ever since and although sadly I had to sell my most valuable and treasured ones to survive the 2006 financial crash (after all, who needs to tell the time if you cannot eat?). Happily it is possible to find wristwatches which are low-cost but which are well made and look great!
