New Normal Lifestyle To Keep You Productive

Having a supportive environment can help you to be productive. But it could be a hard project for you to organize a good work space at home because you have to make it comfortable for work, but not too much that it affects your motivation. One of the easy and quick tips you can do is by having enough sunlight come into your home office. Be advised that while it is good to have good sun rays beaming towards you, excessive exposure can also affect your workflow. So, to tackle that, one of the best choices is to have a good curtain. Products like a linen curtain can not only block excessive lights but it can also be your centerpiece for home office decoration.

Lighting

Avoid working under the direct glare of lights or placing lights directly overhead. The lampshade softens and diffuses light well, while the floor lamp that shines upward reflects light from the walls and ceiling. The goal is to illuminate the entire space without creating undue glare and contrast while avoiding shadows. For work done with computers, documents, and other focus-intensive tasks, choose a defined light source that's dedicated to what you're doing.

The flexible table lamp puts light exactly where you need it and supports a variety of tasks. Likewise, if your job requires multiple desks for different functions, place a defined light source for each focus of the study. Always consider where the light is coming from. A light source placed behind you while working at a computer will almost certainly create distracting glare on the monitor.

Likewise, pay attention to the shadows cast by lamps set up for defined task lighting. For example, if you write with your right hand, your hand and arm can cast a shadow if the task light is placed on the right.

Wall Color

Ideally, a room is painted using a combination of other colors to balance the psychological effect. For workspaces, avoid choosing too many color combinations. Green and white and brown can give you the enthusiasm to find ideas in your work. With a white base color, you can mix and match with red accents on furniture such as wardrobe strips and the bottom border of the wardrobe. If you like to experiment on color walls, the combinations can also be applied to work equipment around the room. It is an excellent accent to help encourage focus and direction in your thinking.

Furniture

If your work area is not too large, choosing an armchair with a pyramid leg structure can save more space. Create a workspace that can attract you to always come back to the area without feeling forced. One way you can do this is by creating a warm impression in the workspace that makes you feel comfortable. You can decorate your work desk with work equipment, notes, or just aesthetically pleasing pieces like figurines or fake plants. Additional decorations like table calendar, table lamp or frame can also do the trick.

Another tip you can do is by having a cabinet alongside your work desk. It would help you to put a variety of work equipment, books, to the products you have worked on. For this, do not choose a mediocre model!

There are two ways to find a unique cabinet that can inspire:

  • First, look for a cabinet with a unique shape, one that resembles a telephone box or a cute pile of suitcases that can make you excited to work so you can immediately spend time on vacation.

  • Second, look for an ordinary cabinet shape but with a unique motif. For example, a cabinet with colorful abstract motifs can sharpen your brain to think and be creative.

Divider

The benefit of curtains can be adjusted to your needs, especially for those of you that don't live alone. If you need a right place to focus at work, or private office space but you can't build the wall, you can use a curtain divider to provide a personal space for you.

The use of room divider curtains creates a visual illusion. The curtains seemed to cover the window that led directly to the outside of the house, which then gives a feeling similar to placing a mirror, creating more spacious space than the original.
