No sooner than the Olympics ended, we can start looking forward to the world cup. The qualifiers begin this month and run through to November. Already, big questions are looming. Will England qualify? Will we see America compete once again? More importantly, does it really matter when everyone knows that neither will win? Still, you can look forward to all the action as the first fun games are completed before the main event begins in 2018! That’s right, as soon as one sports event ends we start preparing for the next one, and so do the athletes. Even if it is over a year away.

The Olympics may be over, but the Paralympic games have just begun. They won’t finish until later this month, and you can catch all the action right now. Four thousand athletes from around the world are competing for glory. We’ll find out which country claims victory a few weeks from now when all the athletes return home, greeted warmly by the general public. An event that you can also look forward to watching if that floats your boat in a wonderful display of victory parades.

At the end of the year, the Davis Cup final begins with Andy Murray ready to help represent Britain. Who will win in this nail biter as teams from across the world compete? Britain claimed victory last year, and they might get a second chance next month too. With Wimbledon over, this is the best you have to look forward to in the world of tennis.

Baseball Season

Finally, in America, we have the MLB which ends in October. The final matches are sure to be exciting, and we’ll be watching to see if the Phillies have any hope of winning. After the season ends, teams will be looking to snatch up the best players. Word has it that the Yankees already have their sites on a few winners. All in all, it should be interesting to see how things shape up going into the 2017 season in April.
